Green Light Driving Academy is a driving school established in 2022 by founder Jacob Nixon. We are based in Greetland, Halifax and cover Huddersfield, Halifax, Sowerby Bridge, Greetland, Brighouse and surrounding areas; serving the Huddersfield and Halifax driving test centres.
Our aim is to make sure each new driver we put on the roads makes the world a safer place.

How much do you charge for driving lessons?
We currently charge £40 per hour for in-car teaching. This includes all costs (car, fuel, insurance, expert tuition). We are constantly monitoring market trends to ensure that our pricing structure reflects fair value when compared with local and national driving schools.
I’ve already got a test booked – can you help me?
Absolutely, we would be happy to work with you to help you get ready to take and pass your driving test. We would need to check that your driving meets the Ready to Pass campaign from the DVSA.
How long does each driving lesson last?
We offer 90 or 120 minute driving lessons. In certain situations we can arrange 60 minute lessons but these aren’t generally as beneficial as they don’t allow for proper progress.
